Trivia and Player Notes

Finished tied for 4th place in the Home Run Derby during the 1991 all-star game.

Tartabull made an appearance on the television show Seinfeld during the 1990s. He played himself in an episode where George Costanza, then employed by the Yankees, enlisted Tartabull's help in speaking at a telethon. George and Danny never made it to the event after wasting time chasing down a motorist who apparently made an obscene gesture to George while in traffic. George was mistaken as it turned out the driver was thanking George and had a cast on his hand which made it look like he was gesturing at George.
