During his Senior Year (2000) while playing at Catholic H.S. in Pensacola, Florida Billy Pitched and Played Shortstop compiling a 4-1 Pitching Record with 49K's and a 0.72 ERA in additon to providing offensive power by batting .459 with 8 HR's and 42 RBI's making him the Class 3A "Player of the Year" and being selected into the Catholic High School Hall of Fame with Four Varsity Letters. (Pensacola News Journal - June 2000) Continuing at Pensacola Jr. College Billy fired a no-hitter against Lyon College, Arkansas during March 2002 facing one batter over the minimum, striking out 14 and allowing 1 walk on a 3-2 count. He concluded his career at PJC holding a PJC School Record of 12 HR's and 41 RBI's as a Pitcher/Infielder. As an LSU Tiger Billy was selected Academic Student-Athlete of the Month during November 2002. Recruited by Turtle Thomas and signed by the Legendery Skip Bertman, Billy played under Head Coach Smoke Laval. Billy pitched in the College World Series. Billy was drafted in 2000 and 2001 by the Seattle Mariners and again in 2003 in the 6th round by his present Team the San Francisco Giants.
