 Trivia and Player Notes
Ed was named Massachusetts Baseball Player of the Year and was a finalist for National Player of the Year honors. He attracted nationwide attention when he pushed his winning streak to 33 games, tying a national record for high school lefties.

In 1992, was named Eastern League's Left-handed pitcher of the year at New Britain.

Was named Northeast League's pitcher of the year in 1996.

Worked for the Boston Red Sox following the 2000 baseball season, managing batting and pitching practices and assembling video for the coaches.

Riley is the youngest in a family of 16 children and he operates Riley Baseball Instruction during the offseason.
