Brian Rogers was awarded the Cape Cod "Outstanding Pitcher" Award in 2002 after a stellar season, allowing omly 2 earned runs all season. He was the starting pitcher for the Cape Cod All-Star Game and voted Most Valuable Player for the Orleans Cardinals.

A three year starter for Georgia Southern University, Brian was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the eleventh round of the 2003 draft. He made the switch to the bullpen in 2005 for the Lakeland Tigers and immediately made an impact, as he led the team in era and batting average against, along with a great K/BB ratio.
