Claim to fame: Game 6 home run for Boston Red Sox against Cincinnati Reds in 1975. Fisk jumping down the first base line, trying to wave the ball fair.

On September 14, 1997, the Chicago White Sox retired Fisk's uniform number (#72). Three years later, on September 4, 2000, the Boston Red Sox also retired Fisk's uniform number (#27).
