The

Managers
The Manager, sometimes called Field Manager, is essentially the head coach for a Baseball team at the professional level. The Manager is responsible for lineups, strategy and in-game decisions. He is surrounded by specialized coaches such as hitting, pitching and base coaches. Unlike other sports, the Manager (and Coaches) dress in team uniforms complete with their own uniform #. As baseball has become more analytical and less about gut feelings and experience, Managers have had to take a more explicit mathematical approach to managing with much of the information used to make in-game decisions coming from the team's analytics or information department.
Wherever possible, TBC captures the Manager of a given professional team. All Managers of Pro teams are given their own profile page which may or may not list his historical playing stats but will definitely list his jobs history in baseball. For MLB Managers, we have an additional separate Manager Profile page which will contain some metrics on the Manager's tendencies, which of course must be taken with a grain of salt because it is contingent on the makeup of his team.
